Adipex-P Information:
What is Adipex-P?
Adipex-P is prescribed to treat patients with dangerously high BMI levels as a result of external factors. It is also sometimes prescribed for patients with moderately high BMIs that also have other risks due excess weight such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Adipex-P, or phentermine, is a psychostimulant drug that is used along with diet and exercise to promote rapid weight loss. Phentermine works similarly to amphetamines. It stimulates the hypothalamus region of the brain to release the neurotransmitter norepinephrine, triggering a flight or fight response in the body. It also stimulates the release of adrenaline which causes the body to use stored fat and reduces appetite.
