What is Glucophage XR?

What are the possible side effects of taking Glucophage XR?

Some people have reported side effects after taking Glucophage XR. Less severe symptoms include bloating, constipation, diarrhea, gas, headache, heartburn, indigestion, muscle pain, changes to finger or toenails, stomach pain, or an unpleasant metallic taste in mouth. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, contact your doctor.

What happens if I overdose on Glucophage XR?

If an overdose of Glucophage XR is suspected, contact the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If the individual has stopped breathing or lost consciousness, contact Emergency Services at 911. Symptoms of an overdose include hypoglycemia, tachycardia, bradycardia, decreased appetite, deep, rapid breathing, general discomfort dizziness, extreme fatigue or tiredness, chills, flushed skin, lightheadedness, muscle pain, nausea, shortness of breath, stomach pain, vomiting, or weakness.
