What is Nalfon?

Nalfon is an NSAD that is usually prescribed for arthritis pain. It may also be prescribed to treat mild to moderate pain in general. Nalfon contains fenoprofen. Like other NSAIDs, it works by stopping the production of substances (COX enzyme and prostaglandins) that produce pain and inflammation in the body.

How do I take Nalfon?

Nalfon is taken on an as-needed basis to relieve pain. It shouldn’t be taken more than four times daily. No more should be taken than what is necessary to provide pain relief. · You regularly drink alcohol.
· You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
· You have asthma or nasal polyps.
· You are anemic.

• Side Effects

Potential Nalfon drug side effects include indigestion, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, runny nose, nervousness, increase perspiration, headache and a ringing sound in the ears. What if I forget to take a dose of Nalfon?

How do I store Nalfon?

Store Nalfon in an airtight container at a temperature between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep this medication out of reach of children and pets.

What happens if I overdose on Nalfon?

Signs of Nalfon overdose include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, confusion, tremors, dizziness, and a lack of coordination. Kidney failure may also occur. If you think someone has overdosed on Nalfon, call the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim is exhibiting these severe symptoms, seek urgent medical attention or call 911.

Warnings
