ProAir RespiClick Information:
What is ProAir RespiClick?
ProAir RespiClick is the bronchodilator albuterol sulfate in powder form, delivered using a proprietary breath-activated rescue inhaler. This medication is used to treat or prevent bronchospasms in those with a reversible obstructive airway disease as well as to prevent bronchospasms caused by exercise. It works by relaxing air passageway muscles to increase the flow of air to the lungs.
How do I take ProAir RespiClick?
The medicine in the ProAir RespiClick is delivered orally using a special rescue dilator. The dosing regimen will be determined by your doctor. Follow the instructions that accompany the ProAir RespiClick inhaler exactly. If you have never used this type of inhaler before, ask your healthcare provider for assistance until you are comfortable with using it. Do not open the inhaler until you are ready to use it; when using the inhaler, open the cover until you hear a “click” to ensure it has been activated. Before placing your lips around the mouthpiece, exhale completely. Once your lips are around the mouthpiece, inhale deeply, until your lungs are full. Hold your breath for about ten seconds before exhaling. Check the counter on the back of the device to make sure you received a dose. Close the protective cap. Refill the prescription when the dosage indicator shows “20.”
Before taking ProAir RespiClick, tell your doctor if:
- You are allergic to albuterol sulfate, proteins, levalbuterol, lactose or any of the ingredients in the ProAir RespiClick
