Mild symptoms include a low-grade fever, headache, chills, nausea, dizziness, warmth, itching, swelling, stiffness or irritation at the injection site, muscle pain, fatigue, or difficulty walking. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, contact your doctor.

Severe side effects requiring immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction (rash, hives, itching, peeling or blistered skin; swelling of the face, mouth, lips, throat, or tongue; fever; hoarseness; difficulty breathing or swallowing), or severe pain or swelling around the knee following the injection.
