Amnesteem Information:

What is Amnesteem?

Amnesteem is the anti-acne retinoid isotretinoin, and is prescribed to treat severe nodular acne, but only after other medications have proven to be ineffective. It is a form of Vitamin A and works by reducing oil gland secretions in the skin; it also helps the skin renew itself. For women of childbearing age, Amnesteem, and related formulations of isotretinoin, is available only through the registered distribution program, iPLEDGE. It is important to read and understand all pregnancy warnings and conditions before beginning an Amnesteem regimen. Those with questions about the risks of, and requirements for, taking this medication should ask their physician for Amnesteem prescription assistance.

How do I take Amnesteem?

Amnesteem is administered in capsule form. It is taken orally, twice a day with meals and a full glass of liquid for four or five months; the capsule must be swallowed whole. Because each situation is different, a doctor may adjust the dosing schedule to meet the needs of the patient. With prices for Amnesteem being so high, consider using the coupon at HelpRx for a significant Amnesteem discount at your local pharmacy.

Before taking Amnesteem, tell your doctor if:
