How do I take Keppra XR?
Keppra XR is administered in tablet form and taken orally, usually twice a day, with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets before swallowing them. Keppra XR does not cure epilepsy; continue to take this medication even if you feel well. Every patient profile is different; follow the dosing instructions of your physician.
Before taking Keppra XR, tell your doctor if:

What happens if I overdose on Keppra XR?
If an overdose of Keppra XR is suspected, contact the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222. If the individual has stopped breathing or lost consciousness, contact Emergency Services at 911. Some symptoms of an overdose include aggressive or hostile behavior, sleepiness or drowsiness, difficulty breathing, or agitation.
