What is Mepron?
Mepron is an antiprotozoal drug. It stops the reproduction of Pneumocystitis carinii, a germ that causes a certain type of pneumonia. When used correctly, it should eliminate Pneumocytstitis carinii.
How do I take Mepron?
Carefully follow your doctor’s instructions for taking Mepron, and do not stop your course of treatment early, even if you feel better. Take Mepron with food at the same time(s) every day in order to keep the amount of medicine in your body consistent. Use the special measuring device that comes with this liquid medicine in order to get the correct dose. If your medication does not come with a measuring device, contact your pharmacist.
Before taking Mepron, tell your doctor if:
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medication, or you have any other allergies
- You are taking any other prescription or over-the-counter drugs or supplements
- You have a stomach or intestinal disorder
- You have liver disease

What are the possible side effects of taking Mepron?
