What is Trezix?
Trezix is a drug that treats adult patients 18 years of age with moderate to severe pain. Trezix contains three active ingredients, acetaminophen, caffeine, and dihydrocodeine that work in combination to reduce pain that can be cause by medical conditions such as arthritis.

Dosage may vary depending on the clinical profile of the patient, but typically adults should take 2 Trezix capsules orally every 4 hours as needed. Patients on Trezix should not exceed 2 capsules in a 4 hour period or more than 10 capsules in a 24 hour period. Patients are recommended to take Trezix with food to avoid nausea or irritation of the stomach.
Before taking Trezix, tell your doctor if:
- You are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
- You are taking any medications of supplements containing acetaminophen
- You have a history of alcohol or drug abuse
- You have a history of asthma
- You have recently had stomach or bowel surgery
What are the possible side effects of taking Trezix?

What if forget to take a dose of Trezix?
If you miss a dose of Trezix, take the next dose 4 hours after the missed dose. Patients should only take Trezix when pain relief is needed to avoid a drug dependency.
How do I store Trezix?
Store the bottle of Trezix in a cool place with a temperature between 68°F to 77°F. Avoid storing Trezix in places with moisture as it may alter the chemical composition of the active ingredients. Keep Trezix out of reach from children and pets, as it can be hazardous if consumed.
What happens if I overdose on Trezix?
Of the three active ingredients in Trezix, acetaminophen and dihydrocodeine can cause toxicity in the body that requires immediate medical attention. Some of the symptoms of a Trezix overdose include general pain discomfort, trouble breathing, nausea, vomiting, and sweating. Warnings
High doses of acetaminophen over 4000 milligrams per day can cause acute liver failure that can lead to death. Dihydrocodeine can cause severe respiratory depression, so it is important that individuals with obstructive sleep apnea take Trezix carefully according to doctor’s recommendations. Patients with a history of substance abuse should note that dihydrocodeine is very addictive and it could lead to drug dependence if not taken as directed.
