What is Xanax?

Other side effects impact gastrointestinal functions, leading to dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.  Less frequently occurring side effects are blurred vision, musculoskeletal problems and allergic reactions.  If any of these symptoms occur, you should check with your doctor immediately.

What if I forget to take a dose of Xanax?

If you forget to take a dose of Xanax, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it’s getting close to the time for you next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of Xanax to compensate for a missed one.

How do I store Xanax?

Xanax should be stored away from moisture and light.  It can be kept at room temperature.  As with all prescription medicine, Xanax should be kept away from pets and children.  Do not flush Xanax down the toilet or pour into a drain.  Talk to your pharmacist about disposing of unused Xanax.

What happens if I overdose on Xanax?

A fatal overdose of Xanax alone is very rare.
